The white peafowl is one of the color variation of the blue peafowl. The peafowls with white color are not albinos, their eyes are not red, but also black.

The white color was created as a result of a spontaneous mutation. The peafowls with white color are very rare in the wild, becauese their striking color marked them to the predators. In the white peafowls not found differint colors between the gender, the males and the females are white, too.

The peacock eyes on the feathers of the males are white. This is a popular pet, than bred centuries ago. Todays there is a lot of other color variant of the blue peafowl, like piebald peafowl (the hybrid of the blue peafowl and the white peafowl) the black-winged peafowl and the „spalding” peafowl (the hybrid of the blue peafowl and the green peafowl).
